In 2019, we hosted our Women in Machine Learning Conference titled "Solving the Algorithm". It was the first of its kind, focusing exclusively on Black women and machine learning.
In partnership with Google and MTN Africa, this was a 2.5 day immersive experience where our fellows enjoyed:
- Inspiring keynotes
- Machine learning tutorials
- Networking with Google employees
- Community building exercises with other women in tech
- Professional development training
Here's what some of our ladies had to share about the conference!

We enjoyed hosting our fellows for this conference to help them hone not just their machine learning skills, but their networking and career skills as well. We invite you to give to Black Sisters in STEM to help us continue to support Black women with programs like these.
